{"id":759297,"date":"2026-06-25T12:08:18","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T12:08:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/759297\/"},"modified":"2026-06-25T12:08:18","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T12:08:18","slug":"emerging-australian-signs-nba-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/759297\/","title":{"rendered":"Emerging Australian signs NBA deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Australian guard Max Mackinnon has reportedly signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Charlotte Hornets in the NBA, according to ESPN. <\/p>\n<p>Mackinnon, 22, played five games for the Brisbane Bullets in the Hungry Jack\u2019s NBL22 Season, before a successful four-year college career.<\/p>\n<p>The son of NBL legend Sam, Mackinnon averaged 15.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists for LSU in his most recent season in the NCAA. <\/p>\n<p>NBL Next Stars Karim Lopez and Malique Lewis were selected with picks 21 and 60 respectively at the NBA Draft.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Max Mackinnon has agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal with the Charlotte Hornets, sources told ESPN.
