The Boston Celtics<\/a> and Jaylen Brown have been in plenty of headlines this offseason, and Brown recently called out ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith again.<\/p>\n

Brown and Smith have been in an ongoing feud all offseason. Smith told Brown to “be quiet” at one point. Brown responded by telling him to get off television. On Wednesday, Brown called ESPN unethical<\/a> and said Smith was the face of that.<\/p>\n

“ESPN is unethical, and Stephen A. Smith is the head face of that,” Brown said at Cannes at Sport Beach in a video posted on X on Tuesday. “The organization and players were all in agreement. They all knew what I meant by that. Our team basically salary dumped. We lost a lot of players and for us to emerge and still be in the same position.”<\/p>\n

Smith responded to Brown’s comments<\/a> on with a long rant on his YouTube channel.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s so full of (expletive) I want to throw up. It really doesn’t make any sense what he’s turned this into. They can talk all the junk they want about me. I’m not here to make friends. Jaylen Brown is not an enemy. He’s an all-world player. He is over there in France at some Cannes festival, talking (expletive), as usual. You got a problem with what I had to say about your comments less than 24 hours after getting bounced out in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, and I’m unethical? How am I unethical? ‘ESPN is unethical.’ What did ESPN do? Was ESPN unethical when they were airing your games? Was ESPN unethical when we had you as a top-three MVP candidate all year?\u00a0Was ESPN unethical when time after time after time again, you could see sound bites, us applauding your intellect, your brilliance, your philanthropy, your play on the court? Were we unethical then? Were we? But the second we don’t like what you said because we think it is counterintuitive and counterproductive to your affiliation with the Boston Celtics and your association and your connection to Boston Celtics fans. Suddenly, we\u2019re unethical because we\u2019re telling you how your comments came across. No wonder your (expletive) is in France.<\/p>\n

Smith has continuously applauded Brown for what he has done on the court, but has had enough of his off-court antics. Brown attacked ESPN and Smith directly, and Smith’s response should not come as a shock.<\/p>\n

With Brown’s name being mentioned in more trade rumors, it’s unlikely that this is the last time the two will go at it over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n
