Gracie Abrams<\/a> has dropped her new song \u201cLook at My Life,\u201d which is the latest single off her upcoming album Daughter From Hell. <\/p>\n The 26-year-old singer named her upcoming concert tour<\/a> after the song, so you know it must be an important one!<\/p>\n \u201cBut oh well, look at my life \/ Bet you can\u2019t tell but it\u2019s kind of a bad time \/ A new spiral every night \/ Bawling my eyes out, no, but I\u2019m so fine \/ Yeah, I might just shut up and drive \/ Hope I don\u2019t crash and blow out the headlights \/ My nightmare actualiz?d \/ Got what I wanted, it doesn\u2019t sit right,\u201d Gracie sings in the lyrics for the chorus. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n Gracie dropped a music video for the song, which you can watch above. The visual finds her \u201cracing through a rural town on a road trip with vignettes of her in an empty dance studio, convenience store parking lot, before she escapes in a hot air balloon.\u201d<\/p>\n Gracie Abrams explains meaning of \u201cLook at My Life\u201d song<\/p>\n In an interview with The New York Times\u2018 Popcast<\/a>, Gracie explained the meaning behind the track.<\/p>\n If we\u2019re, like, looking at just that song, I know it probably sounds like I\u2019m, like, down about, the whole thing, it\u2019s really not the case. I was in college for one year at Barnard and took a leave of absence and sometimes I think about what learning did I miss out on that, like, might be integral to my development as a person on this planet, not just, like, as a musician, but, like, as a friend and a family member and like a, you know, like corny, but, like, global citizen. <\/p>\n Not that college is the place you get everything you need to know, but there was something about that that I feel like part of that songwriting process I know is coming from that place. And then at the same time, so much beyond my wildest dreams has gone down in the past handful of years that, that I \u2014 Or it\u2019s hard for me to wrap my head around. I don\u2019t know if you guys feel this way, but there\u2019s like something fishbowlesque about perception with a platform. With like, I was a bedroom dwelling teenager in many ways. My social battery or something, I feel like it drains quicker than other people\u2019s sometimes, and I will find myself being like [expletive].
