The 2024 Supercars champion is showcasing the Australian-built machine at the event as part of a Red Bull promotional tour involving four countries.<\/p>\n

Owned by Ford, the car is the Dick Johnson Racing-built Mustang that has lived in the United States since the 2023\/24 off-season wind tunnel testing.<\/p>\n

Red Bull\u2019s tour with it began with last weekend\u2019s Mondello Drift Masters, where Brit Matt Nicoll-Jones was behind the wheel.<\/p>\n

Brown was selected for Austria as part of a program that also had him spend time at Red Bull\u2019s global headquarters, athlete performance centre and Hangar-7.<\/p>\n

\u201cNever thought I\u2019d be taking the Supercar to a Formula 1 Grand Prix in Europe \u2013 and in Austria, the home of Red Bull, what an unreal opportunity,\u201d he said ahead of the trip.<\/p>\n

\u201cProbably one of the biggest things I\u2019ve done with the team so far.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown\u2019s time on the 4.3km Red Bull Ring across the weekend is expected to come as part of scheduled Red Bull drift shows.<\/p>\n

The car will be driven at the Goodwood Festival of Speed next month by Jamie Whincup, before Scott Pye tackles the Red Bull Showrun in Latvia.<\/p>\n

Brown was selected over teammate Broc Feeney for the Austria trip as the latter has previously visited Red Bull\u2019s key facilities.<\/p>\n

The Latvia outing is meanwhile just a week before the Ipswich Supercars event, with the team not wanting to risk any travel issues for its championship leader.<\/p>\n

Triple Eight and Red Bull have spruiked the European tour as a chance to promote Supercars to the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe see so many people commenting on Supercars race highlights, and they\u2019re commenting from overseas,\u201d said Brown.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re loving what we\u2019re doing here when we race!<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s another way to connect with them and get them into the sport \u2013 how many people have heard an Aussie V8 screaming around the Red Bull Ring?\u201d<\/p>\n
