Mount Panorama will return to the GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS schedule in 2027, with SRO Motorsports Australia confirming the Bathurst circuit as the centrepiece of a provisional six-round calendar released at the 2026 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.<\/p>\n

The Australian series unveiled its dates as part of the SRO Motorsports global calendar reveal in Belgium, with Mount Panorama set to host Round\u00a05 across 29\u201331 October in a standalone event that also serves as the finale of the Shannons SpeedSeries.<\/p>\n

It is the series\u2019 first trip to the mountain since the 2024 Bathurst International, with the return coming as Hidden Valley Raceway drops off the schedule after featuring this year.<\/p>\n

The season opens with the now-traditional round at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit across 16\u201318 April, before The Bend Motorsport Park retains Round\u00a02 on 28\u201330 May. Sydney Motorsport Park hosts Round\u00a03 on 23\u201325 July to mark the halfway point of the calendar, ahead of Queensland Raceway in Round\u00a04 on 17\u201319 September and the Bathurst finale at the end of October.<\/p>\n

With five rounds locked in alongside the Shannons SpeedSeries, the sixth and final round is yet to be confirmed and is expected to be announced in the coming months, along with finalised event details.<\/p>\n

SRO Motorsports Australia chief executive Ben McMellan said the early release of the calendar was important for teams, commercial partners and event stakeholders as they began preparations for the season.<\/p>\n

\u201cBathurst is synonymous with Australian motorsport and having the category compete there as part of the newly confirmed Shannons SpeedSeries event is a major highlight for teams, drivers and fans,\u201d McMellan said.<\/p>\n

He said opening at Phillip Island and visiting The Bend, Sydney Motorsport Park and Queensland Raceway would ensure competitors faced a diverse range of circuits across the year, and that SRO continued to work through opportunities for the final round.<\/p>\n

The same reveal confirmed a double-header at Mount Panorama for Monochrome GT4 Australia in 2027. The GT4 category will open its season as the headline support class at the four-day Meguiar\u2019s Bathurst 12 Hour in February, contesting two one-hour races, before closing the year at the October Mount Panorama round, which runs as an endurance race \u2014 GT4\u2019s first endurance round since 2024.<\/p>\n

The first five rounds of the GT World Challenge Australia calendar mirror the five-event Shannons SpeedSeries schedule, with the GT series again set to headline the package.<\/p>\n
