Miller\u2019s family launched a GoFundMe on June 25 to help cover medical and rehabilitation costs, and the fundraiser has raised more than $40,000. However, the campaign has drawn scrutiny after a pattern of alleged scam behavior tied to Miller resurfaced across X and Reddit.<\/p>\n

Matt Miller\u2019s GoFundMe Goal Increased Massively as Alleged Scam History Resurfaces<\/p>\n

The GoFundMe<\/a>, organized by Caitlin Bever-Miller, initially had a $10,000 goal. That figure was quickly raised to $30,000 after early donations poured in, and the target now stands at $55,000, with more than 350 individual contributions. Notable donors include Pat McAfee, who contributed $5,525, while Adam Schefter also chipped in with $1,000.<\/p>\n

The fundraiser\u2019s rapid growth has coincided with a wave of allegations surfacing on social media. A widely circulated post on X from Tommy Callahan<\/a> outlined claims from a Reddit thread detailing a pattern of alleged misconduct tied to Miller\u2019s accounts.<\/p>\n

The Reddit thread on r\/DynastyFF<\/a> saw multiple people coming forward with statements about the lack of communication in leagues organized by Miller and about not paying out the winners.<\/p>\n

In his assessment, Callahan wrote that Miller \u201callegedly took 50%+ admin cuts or never paid winners\u201d in his charity fantasy football leagues on Sleeper. He also wrote that Miller had set up \u201cpaid scouting lessons where people sent money upfront and then got little to no response or delivery when it came time to schedule. Some had to chase him repeatedly or threaten to go to ESPN before anything happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moreover, Miller also had \u201cannual subscriptions to his scouting sites and newsletters where content stopped but charges kept coming. Ghosting after payment was routine. The only time most got refunds was after they threatened to contact ESPN\u2019s public relations team or general counsel.\u201d<\/p>\n

Callahan also criticized Miller\u2019s GoFundMe request and said, \u201cNow the same guy is asking the same audience for money for his medical expenses through a GoFundMe. Glad he\u2019s alright, but Hollywood couldn\u2019t write better irony.\u201d<\/p>\n

Callahan was not the only one on social media to call out Miller, as fantasy football analyst Kev Mahserejian said<\/a>, \u201cFor context: Miller raised his goal to 30k after hitting his 10k mark on GoFundMe. Miller has (allegedly) been running public scam fantasy football leagues where he wouldn\u2019t pay out winners for years now. Glad he\u2019s alive and all but this is sus.\u201d<\/p>\n

So far, none of the allegations have been independently verified, and neither Miller nor his representatives have publicly addressed them.<\/p>\n

The main question many have is about why a credentialed ESPN analyst with over a decade of industry experience is requesting public donations to cover hospital bills. The initial $10,000 goal suggested a manageable cost, but the target has been raised multiple times and is likely to continue increasing.<\/p>\n

While sympathy for Miller\u2019s injuries is warranted, considering the severity of what he endured, the combination of a growing fundraiser and a trail of unresolved financial allegations dating back years has left a significant portion of the NFL community skeptical.<\/p>\n
