UFC Baku<\/a> went down yesterday (Sat., June 27, 2026) inside Baku Crystal Hall in Baku, Azerbaijan, which saw Rafael Fiziev score a knockout win over Manuel Torres in the main event of the evening (see it again here<\/a>). In the co-main event, Shara Magomedov defeated Michel Pereira after a 15-minute back-and-forth affair.<\/p>\n

Biggest Winner: Rafael Fiziev<\/p>\n

The emotions were running high for Fiziev after he secured a highlight-reel knockout win<\/a> over Torres in the opening moments of round two, which was started off by a masterful spinning wheel kick that landed perfectly, then capped off with some nasty ground-and-pound. The reason what \u201cAtaman\u201d was elated an nearly in tears was because it was a much-needed victory after losing to Mauricio Ruffy via TKO in his last bout,<\/a> which brought him to 1-4 in his last fights. Now that he is back in the win column, the confidence is sky high for the vicious striker, which means nothing but bad things for his future foes. This could be the win that gets him back to the days when he was one of the most feared strikers in the division.<\/p>\n

Runner Up (s) Up: Abdul-Rakhman Yakhyaev and Matheus Camilo<\/p>\n

Yakhyaev made sure to leave a great first impression not only to the UFC higher-ups, but to future foes that he is not playing around inside the Octagon by starching Julius Walker in just eight seconds (see it again here<\/a>). He remains undefeated at 10-0 with nine stoppages, eight in the very first round. He came in with hype and walked the walk once the cage door slammed shut, and he walked away with an extra $100,000 in bonus money<\/a>. Camilo secured a big upset win over the hometown favorite, Nazim Sadykhov, knocking him out in the very first round (see it again here<\/a>). Camilo was calm and patient, waiting for his opening to unleash a huge strike that dropped his foe, then proceeded to drop bomb after bomb to force a stoppage just 90 seconds into the fight. That is now two straight wins for him after laying an egg in his UFC debut.<\/p>\n

Honorable Mention: Asu Almabayev<\/p>\n

As for Almabayev, he pulled off a rare submission win via Suloev stretch<\/a> in the closing minutes of the fight against Charles Johnson. He is now on a three-fight win streak after suffering the first and only loss of his UFC career against Manel Kape, which should be good enough to elevate him a couple of spots in the Top 10, getting him closer to a potential rematch against \u201cStarboy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biggest Losers: Julius Walker and Nazim Sadykhov<\/p>\n

Walker and Sadykhov will share this unfortunate spotlight this week after they each suffered massive first-round knockouts. Walker was iced in just eight seconds by a UFC rookie (see it again here<\/a>), giving him his second straight knockout defeat, bringing him to 1-3 inside the Octagon. As for Sadykhov, he was stopped by Abdul-Rakhman Yakhyaev in 90 seconds<\/a>. That is also his second straight knockout defeat after previously getting iced by Dustin Jacoby earlier this year.<\/p>\n
