{"id":766500,"date":"2026-06-28T21:58:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-28T21:58:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/766500\/"},"modified":"2026-06-28T21:58:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-28T21:58:09","slug":"man-charged-with-murder-after-woman-shot-on-the-gold-coast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/766500\/","title":{"rendered":"Man charged with murder after woman shot on the Gold Coast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">A 23-year-old man has been charged with murder after a woman was shot on the Gold Coast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Emergency services were called to a home on Loder Street in Biggera Waters about 8pm yesterday after reports a 23-year-old woman had suffered life-threatening gunshot injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">The woman was declared dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Police arrested the Biggera Waters man without incident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">He has since been charged with one count of murder (domestic violence) and unlawful possession of a weapon used to commit an indictable offence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court today.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Police said investigations were ongoing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A 23-year-old man has been charged with murder after a woman was shot on the Gold Coast.
