Join now and get your first month for just $1<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Broncos confirmed in a statement on Monday that Karapani was allegedly caught travelling at 119km per hour in a 100km\/h zone on the Pacific Motorway at MacGregor in Brisbane\u2019s south on Sunday morning and then stopped by Queensland Police.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"i-amphtml-fill-content i-amphtml-replaced-content\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/poster-fallback.png\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Karapani received an infringement notice for the speeding offence along with further fines for \u2018Failure to display P plates\u2019, \u2018Driving an unregistered vehicle\u2019 and \u2018Driving an uninsured vehicle\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Following the roadside stop, Karapani was taken to Holland Park Police Station where he returned a reading of 0.037 after being subject to a breath analysis. <\/p>\n<p>As a provisional licence holder, Karapani is subject to a zero-blood alcohol concentration and was subsequently issued with a notice to appear in court on July 21 in relation to the drink driving offence.<\/p>\n<p>The Broncos informed the NRL Integrity Unit of the incident and confirmed Karapani has been dropped from Saturday\u2019s game against the Sharks.<\/p>\n<p>Roosters hand Broncos 7th straight loss | 01:31<\/p>\n<p>The latest incident comes after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com.au\/nrl\/nrl-premiership\/nrl-2026-josiah-karapani-his-with-infringement-notice-by-queensland-police-for-public-nuisance-broncos-vs-dolphins-round-4\/news-story\/978512f46150f45834935251cb186fc4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Karapani was hit with a fine and month-long ban from Brisbane\u2019s Fortitude Valley precinct<\/a> by Queensland Police in March for being a \u2018public nuisance\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>That alleged incident took place just hours after Brisbane\u2019s win over the Dolphins and resulted in Karapani being stood down by the club\u2019s leadership group ahead of the game against the Gold Coast the following week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s important everyone knows the standards and culture of this club that we are setting is above any player or person in this organisation,\u201d Adam Reynolds said at the time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEveryone needs to jump on board or you risk facing some time away from the team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJosiah is fully aware of the mistake he has made and is fully apologetic towards the group. I am sure he won\u2019t make that mistake again.
