Detroit Lions star Terrion Arnold<\/a> was granted $1 million bail Monday after he was charged with a kidnapping and armed robbery plot<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Authorities testified at the cornerback\u2019s hearing that he offered to pay his 18-year-old lover and her roommate to lure his targets to their apartment<\/a> by promising them sex, according to an investigator in the case.<\/p>\n

Arnold wrongly suspected his driver and the driver\u2019s hairdresser pal of stealing from him and set out to viciously beat him, the cop testified at the NFL player\u2019s bail hearing Monday.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old pro football player asked girlfriend Ariana Del Valle to set up the victim under the guise of a booty call with Del Valle\u2019s 19-year-old roommate, Jasmine Randazzo, at their apartment, Tampa police Detective Scott Barnett testified.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are trying to set him up and he\u2019s trying to pay us for it,\u201d Del Valle texted Randazzo of Arnold\u2019s alleged scheme, according to messages Barnett read in court.<\/p>\n

At one point, Randazzo told Del Valle they should \u201cdelete\u201d their texts and said, \u201cI\u2019m going to get money,\u201d adding she would give it to her dad, the detective testified.<\/p>\n

The plot was allegedly cooked up after Arnold and his pals had over $250,000 worth of property stolen from them at an Airbnb in Largo on Feb. 1.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Arnold suspected that his driver and the hairdresser were the thieves and starting chatting about luring them to a hotel room for questioning.<\/p>\n

But one of the friends pointed out that a hotel would have too many cameras, Barnett testified that Randazzo and Del Valle told cops.<\/p>\n

Del Valle then chimed in to suggest the confrontation take place at her and Randazzo\u2019s apartment because the barber \u201cwants to get with Jasmine and he\u2019s been to our apartment before so he knows where it is,\u201d she allegedly told Arnold and his cronies, Barnett testified.<\/p>\n

The NFL player allegedly asked Ariana Del Valle to set up the victim under the guise of a booty call. Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office<\/p>\n

Three of Arnold\u2019s buddies, armed with guns including an AR-15, allegedly pistol-whipped and beat the hairdresser and two of his friends at the girls\u2019 apartment on the night of Feb. 3 and into the morning of the 4, the detective testified.<\/p>\n

Del Valle used FaceTime to show the whole assault to Arnold and others driving in a car, and also took instructions from one of Arnold\u2019s pals in a simultaneous text message, Barnett claimed.<\/p>\n

Around the same time, Del Valle side-texted Randazzo, \u201cI\u2019m scared. I hope they don\u2019t kill them,\u201d Barnett said.<\/p>\n

The terrifying kidnapping incident left the victims \u2014 who didn\u2019t actually steal from Arnold \u2014 fearing for their lives, Barnett said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey thought they were going to be killed and stuffed in their car and taken somewhere or taken somewhere and killed there,\u201d Barnett explained.<\/p>\n

The victims were eventually let go and reported the attack to cops.<\/p>\n

Arnold has pleaded not guilty to charges of kidnapping and robbery and faces up to life if convicted<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors asked that he be held without bail at the hearing Monday.<\/p>\n

But Arnold\u2019s lawyer Harvey Steinberg argued there was no proof<\/a> the football player actually carried out the beating and that one of his co-defendants was clearly the \u201cquarterback\u201d of the incident.<\/p>\n

Prosecutor Kevin Riley said if the other man was the quarterback, then Arnold was the \u201cgeneral manager.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only reason this plan or this act gets off the ground is because of Mr. Arnold,\u201d Riley argued.<\/p>\n
