{"id":768935,"date":"2026-06-30T02:04:14","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T02:04:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/768935\/"},"modified":"2026-06-30T02:04:14","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T02:04:14","slug":"mens-basketball-signs-guard-dylan-bordon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/768935\/","title":{"rendered":"Men&#8217;s Basketball Signs Guard Dylan Bord\u00f3n"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. &#8211; Head coach <a href=\"https:\/\/usfdons.com\/staff-directory\/chris-gerlufsen\/404\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Chris Gerlufsen<\/a> and the University of San Francisco men&#8217;s basketball program announced today the signing of guard Dylan Bord\u00f3n (Corrientes, Argentina).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are proud to welcome Dylan Bord\u00f3n to the University of San Francisco,&#8221; said Gerlufsen.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Dylan is a dynamic guard with a knack for touching the paint and putting pressure on the defense. He brings a strong competitive edge with him from his time at Tenerife and with the Argentine national team. Dylan has the ability to lift his team simply with his presence on the floor. We eagerly await Dylan&#8217;s arrival to the Hilltop!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Bord\u00f3n made his professional debut at 15 years old for Club San Mart\u00edn de Corrientes, a team that competes in the Torneo Nacional de Ascenso (TNA), the second division of the Argentine Liga Nacional de B\u00e1squetbol league system.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, he moved to Spain to join the development program of Gran Canaria, playing primarily with the club&#8217;s reserve team while also making first-team appearances in both the Spanish ACB League and EuroCup.<\/p>\n<p>Most recently, Bord\u00f3n signed a two-year contract with La Laguna Tenerife (also known as CB Canarias) in August 2025, joining the first-team environment in Spain&#8217;s top division. This past season, the 6-foot-3 guard suited up for Canarias&#8217; Liga U22 team, averaging 19.1 points, 5.0 assists, and 3.0 rebounds in 20 games.<\/p>\n<p>Internationally, he has represented Argentina at multiple levels, including a breakout performance in the 2022 FIBA U18 AmeriCup. In the tournament, Bord\u00f3n averaged 15.2 points, 4.6 assists, and 4.4 rebounds as he helped Argentina reach the championship game, in addition to being named the tournament&#8217;s Best Point Guard.
