The allegations were made by Ashley Perez, the ex-wife of fellow pro Pat Perez, and stem from a 2015 incident at a villa property owned by Mickelson, as reported by Skratch\u2019s Alan Shipnuck on Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cRecovery is not a straight line,\u201d Mickelson\u2019s spokeswoman said. \u201cThroughout their 35-year relationship, his wife, Amy Mickelson, has supported Mr. Mickelson and their family with extraordinary grace, unwavering love, and the belief that people are measured not only by their failures, but by what they do to make them right.\u201d<\/p>\n
It was a part of a longer statement that denied \u201csome\u201d allegations made publicly against Mickelson.<\/p>\n
\u201cSome of the allegations circulating about Mr. Mickelson are false, and others revisit mistakes he has already acknowledged, publicly or privately,\u201d the spokeswoman said. \u201cStacking the disputed claims next to the ones he has owned does not make them credible. It instead contributes to a false and misleading narrative.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo person, no article, and no book can present an accurate, complete, or personal story of the life Mr. Mickelson and his family have lived. His story, struggles, and recovery belong to him and to the people who have shared it closely alongside him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ashley, who filed for divorce from Perez in November 2023, alleged that Mickelson showed her a nude photo of himself while she and Perez were staying with him at his villa for the PGA Tour\u2019s Barclays tournament at Plainfield CC in Edison, N.J. in 2015, according to the Stratch report.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen Pat excused himself to use the restroom, Ashley says Mickelson took out his phone and showed her a full-body picture of himself naked with an erection while flexing one bicep,\u201d Shipnuck wrote, adding that the trio were drinking wine on the property\u2019s patio.<\/p>\n
The report said that Ashley claimed Mickelson then told her, \u201cI\u2019m going to leave my bedroom door open tonight. When Pat falls asleep I want you to come see me.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Ashley objected, and told Perez about Mickelson\u2019s advances after the tournament.<\/p>\n
Mickelson reportedly apologised to Perez in private on multiple occasions after that.<\/p>\n
Ashley addressed public support she received in an Instagram Story post Monday.<\/p>\n
\u201cI will rise up and stand next to the millions of women who have been silenced to protect the evil and darkness that lurks amongst us,\u201d Ashley wrote in a Instagram Story post, including a photo of her in Las Vegas wearing a bedazzled jumpsuit.<\/p>\n
\u201cThank you dearly for all of the love and support. My heart goes out to the countless other victims.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mickelson\u2019s lawyer, Tom Clare, called the report \u201creckless\u201d in a statement to The California Post on Friday.<\/p>\n
\u201cA small segment of the golf media has decided that because Mr. Mickelson is a successful golfer, every detail of his private and family life is theirs to exploit,\u201d Clare said. \u201cRecycling mistakes he has already acknowledged as new reporting, and dragging private family matters into public view, is reckless. It is the pursuit of clicks at the expense of the truth. Do better.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mickelson has been away from professional golf since February to tend to a family matter, he previously shared.<\/p>\n
Earlier this year, Mickelson was accused of making \u201cnonconsensual and inappropriate physical contact\u201d with a female employee at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe.<\/p>\n
