The 24-year-old social media sensation is married to model Lucky Blue Smith, 28, and is known for her trad wife lifestyle, a term often used to describe influencers who share content about homemaking.<\/p>\n
Smith announced the devastating news on TikTok and Instagram, where she has a combined following of more than 16M fans, but did not specify the current condition of Whimsy\u2019s health.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is no easy way to say this or to talk about any of this, but late last year our daughter Whimsy got diagnosed with cancer,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The famous family took their second youngest daughter to an emergency department after discovering \u201csomething suspicious\u201d on her body but were advised to see a paediatrician.<\/p>\n
\u201cI just remember him going really quiet and calm, and my heart dropped in that moment. I don\u2019t know whether it was my gut telling me something or just a mum\u2019s intuition, but the first thing that I felt was she has cancer,\u201d Smith continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe calmly told us to take her to the closest children\u2019s hospital and have them evaluate her further\u2026 and after a lot of X-rays, ultrasounds and finally a biopsy, they immediately called us and said that she had cancer.\u201d<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, the cancer had already spread, and little Whimsy needed to start chemotherapy \u201cimmediately\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThroughout all of this, I\u2019ve been on a plethora of forums, social media, and also talked to parents and family in the hospital, and all of that combined really brought me a lot of comfort and alleviated the feeling of loneliness for me,\u201d Smith said.<\/p>\n
Smith, whose videos of cooking meals while wearing extravagant outfits have millions of views, said she wanted to share her daughter\u2019s story to inspire or help others going through a health journey.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe wanted to share this to hopefully bring someone else that comfort or even incentivise you to go get something checked out that you\u2019ve been avoiding,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Unsurprisingly, Smith said navigating Whimsy\u2019s cancer battle had been \u201creally hard\u201d and hadn\u2019t been posting on social media as often.<\/p>\n
\u201cHaving found all of this out and navigating this while postpartum, also loving and caring for our other kids at home, also being in the hospital with Whimsy a lot and balancing work on top of that has been really challenging and finding that balance is something that I struggle with on a daily basis,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cSome days are a little easier, some days are really hard, and all I can do is try my best and show up in all those areas in the best way I can.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hope by sharing this I can bring someone else a little bit of comfort and make you feel less alone in your journey and in whatever way that may be.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her friends and fans were heartbroken by the news, with Aussie mum Kellie Finlayson, who is living with stage four bowel cancer and is the wife of AFL star Jeremy Finlayson, saying she \u201ccannot even imagine going through chemo as a child, or watching my child go through it, it\u2019s so so sooooo hard.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSharing is so brave, you\u2019re for sure making someone else\u2019s journey feel less scary.\u201d<\/p>\n
Perth influencer Em Davies said she was \u201cso sorry\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cSending so much strength, love, everything \u2764\ufe0f\u200d\ud83e\ude79 no parent should ever have to face something like this.\u201d<\/p>\n
British singer Raye added: \u201cMy beautiful superwoman friend.\u201d<\/p>\n
Smith and Lucky Blue have four kids together: Rumble Honey, 5, Slim Easy, 4, Whimsy Lou, 2, and Fawnie Golden, 9 months.<\/p>\n
