NSW<\/a> rookie Ethan Strange<\/a> was spotted in a moon boot as he headed to dinner on Thursday, hours after he\u2019d rolled his left ankle in a blow for the Blues ahead of the State of Origin<\/a> decider.<\/p>\n

The star Raiders five-eighth has been a shining light for the Blues throughout the series, but he is in doubt for the decider at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday night after injuring his ankle at training.<\/p>\n

Nine\u2019s Danny Weidler said Blues staff would monitor Strange\u2019s fitness before deciding whether to bring a replacement into camp in Kingscliff. <\/p>\n

Strange spent about four hours working on his ankle with an ice compression device before going for dinner.<\/p>\n

Exclusive vision of the 21-year-old hobbling out of the NSW accommodation was shown on 9News on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

Strange starred in the series opener at five-eighth but was relegated to the bench for game two, with Mitchell Moses<\/a> returning from injury.<\/p>\n

Strange has again been named on Laurie Daley<\/a>\u2019s six-man bench for the decider.<\/p>\n

Queensland great Darius Boyd<\/a> was left stunned that the Raiders star had again been overlooked for a starting role<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe might not get on for game three and that\u2019s just mind-blowing,\u201d Boyd said on Wide World Of Sports\u2019 QLDER this week.<\/p>\n

\u201cAgain, that\u2019s their problem. Hopefully they keep making those same mistakes.\u201d<\/p>\n
