iOS 27\u2019s official launch won\u2019t be until September<\/a>, but anyone is welcome to try it out early via Apple\u2019s free beta software program<\/a>.<\/p>\n Apple has confirmed the iOS 27 public beta will launch in July.<\/p>\n That means we\u2019re officially now in the release month. And based on recent history, iOS 27\u2019s public beta might be only a couple weeks away. Here are previous years\u2019 public beta launch dates:<\/p>\n iOS 26: Thursday, July 24<\/p>\n iOS 18: Monday, July 15<\/p>\n iOS 17: Wednesday, July 12<\/p>\n iOS 16: Monday, July 11<\/p>\n Typically, the first public beta for a major iOS update arrives about a week after the third developer beta.<\/p>\n We\u2019re expecting iOS 27 developer beta 3 sometime in the coming week, which makes a public beta launch the following week likely.<\/p>\n As a result, mid-July is the expected release timing for iOS 27\u2019s public beta\u2014potentially as early as Monday, July 13, or shortly thereafter.<\/p>\n It\u2019s worth noting that last year, iOS 26\u2019s public beta launched after four developer betas, not three. But in recent history, it\u2019s the exception to an otherwise predictable pattern.<\/p>\n New features coming in iOS 27<\/p>\n The single biggest upgrade in iOS 27 is Siri AI<\/a>, which is only available on compatible iPhones<\/a>.<\/p>\n iOS 27 also brings refinements to Liquid Glass and lets you customize the design with a new slider<\/a>. There are also numerous bug fixes and performance improvements that should speed up<\/a> everyday tasks on iPhone.<\/p>\n Popular Apple apps get plenty of new features in iOS 27 too, including Messages<\/a>, Notes<\/a>, Photos<\/a>, Calendar<\/a>, Maps<\/a>, Music<\/a>, Safari<\/a>, and more.<\/p>\n Additionally, iOS 27 brings a handful of upgrades for CarPlay<\/a> and AirPods<\/a> users too.<\/p>\n The update is available on all iPhones that support iOS 26.
