Liberal frontbencher Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has taken aim at One Nation, suggesting Pauline Hanson runs a \u201cfamily dynasty\u201d without thorough democratic processes.<\/p>\n
The criticism comes as Coalition MPs are split on their willingness to work with One Nation<\/a>, including Liberal MP Andrew Hastie who declared \u201cwar\u201d on the minor party. \u00a0<\/p>\n While Ms Nampijinpa Price has previously said the Coalition had to \u201cwork with One Nation\u201d<\/a>, she criticised the party as a \u201cfamily dynasty\u201d on Thursday.<\/p>\n Asked by Sky News for her assessment of Ms Hanson\u2019s One Nation, Ms Nampijinpa Price said: \u201cLook, I think it\u2019s her party.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI appreciate the fact that I\u2019m part of a democratic party where we know that it\u2019s a democratic process to elect our leader in our party,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cI suppose for Pauline’s politics, it\u2019s about handing down a family dynasty but I do believe that we have roles, in that we need to call out this terrible Labor government.\u201d<\/p>\n Ms Price was previously rumoured to be defecting to One Nation but ruled out the possibility following an invitation from Ms Hanson<\/a>.<\/p>\n She added that she didn\u2019t think the Coalition\u2019s \u201cfight\u201d was with Ms Hanson\u2019s party but with the Labor government.<\/p>\n The remarks came weeks after Ms Hanson said her daughter, Lee Hanson, would be a great asset for One Nation while speaking at a function in Perth.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know how long (her political career) it\u2019s going to be, but I\u2019m not going anywhere \u2019til I know that I\u2019m comfortable to hand on to the next one to carry on my legacy,\u201d Ms Hanson said.<\/p>\n
