Sources tell <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eurohoops.net\/en\/nba-news\/1987156\/mavericks-preparing-significant-offer-for-tarik-biberovic\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Bugra Uzar of Eurohoops.net<\/a> that Dallas is expected to give the Fenerbahce sharpshooter a \u201csignificant\u201d contract offer in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unclear what a \u201csignificant\u201d offer would entail. Most second-round picks are signed using the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopsrumors.com\/2026\/07\/second-round-pick-exception-details-for-2026-27.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">second-round exception<\/a> \u2014 if the Mavs want to use it on Biberovic, they could offer the maximum salaries that the exception allows and guarantee up to three seasons. They could also dip into their mid-level exception or bi-annual exception to present a more lucrative offer.<\/p>\n<p>According to Marc Stein of The Stein Line (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TheSteinLine\/status\/2072793732005474378\" rel=\"nofollow\">Twitter link<\/a>), the Mavs have begun talking to Biberovic\u2019s agents about the possibility of the 25-year-old coming stateside next season. Sources tell Stein that the swingman\u2019s contract with Fenerbahce features a $2MM buyout \u2014 Dallas can only cover up to $900K of that total, Stein notes, and Biberovic would be responsible for the rest.<\/p>\n<p>Memphis selected Biberovic with the 56th overall pick in the 2023 draft. The 6\u20197\u2033 guard\/forward reportedly received \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopsrumors.com\/2025\/05\/fenerbahces-hayes-davis-biberovic-drawing-nba-interest.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">serious<\/a>\u201d interest from NBA teams last offseason prior to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopsrumors.com\/2025\/07\/tarik-biberovic-re-signs-with-fenerbahce-following-nba-interest.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">re-signing<\/a> with Fenerbahce. One report at the time said Biberovic declined a contract offer from the Grizzlies before he decided to remain in Turkey.<\/p>\n<p>A 25-year-old wing, Biberovic helped Fenerbahce win the EuroLeague title in 2025. The Turkish team has also won four domestic championships in his eight seasons with the club.<\/p>\n<p>Biberovic is known as a top-tier shooter, having posted a .524\/.419\/.952 slash line in 41 EuroLeague contests in 2025\/26.
