Steven Gansey is the brother of Philadelphia 76ers president of basketball operations Mike Gansey, whose connection to LeBron James stretches back more than two decades.<\/p>\n
The relationship is rooted in Ohio\u2019s basketball scene, where both Gansey and James emerged as elite high school talents. In 2001, Gansey finished runner-up to James in the voting for Ohio Mr. Basketball, highlighting just how highly regarded he was as a young player.<\/p>\n
After his playing career ended, Gansey moved into the front office ranks in 2011 and steadily built a reputation as one of the NBA\u2019s rising executives. During James\u2019 second stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Gansey oversaw the organisation\u2019s G League operations before being promoted to assistant general manager under Koby Altman in 2017.<\/p>\n
