Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan says he is proud to have beaten Jos Buttler’s record for Lancashire’s fastest ever T20 half-century.<\/p>\n
Shadab took just 19 balls to achieve the feat in Lancashire’s four-run win away to Derbyshire Falcons, bettering the mark set by Buttler and Matty Hurst off 20 balls.<\/p>\n
He eventually was out for 58 off only 22 with six fours and four sixes and took 3-42 with his leg-breaks as the Red Rose secured the four points to re-ignite their T20 Blast season with a third straight victory.<\/p>\n
“If I beat Jos, it’s amazing,” Shadab told BBC Radio Lancashire. <\/p>\n
“It’s a proud moment for me because we’ve had legends of the game play for Lancashire. Now it’s my record and hopefully I’ll break my own.” <\/p>\n
Shadab has arrived as an overseas replacement for the latter stages of the T20 Blast for injured Australian Chris Green.<\/p>\n
“Lancashire is one of the biggest clubs in the country so it was a no-brainer when the opportunity came,” Shadab said.<\/p>\n
“I always enjoy it here.
