From Lena Dunham to Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid, she has an A-list circle of besties and has had a few A-list fallouts. But there were olive branches extended at the nuptials. Supermodel Karlie Kloss, who Swift famously fell out with in the 2000s, was photographed on her way to the ceremony in a dripping gold column dress. Her appearance intensified speculation that Lively would arrive. But despite being sighted just 4.5 hours away yesterday, Blake Lively, 38, and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, 49, are not in attendance at the ceremony.

Are Blake Lively And Taylor Swift Still Friends?

Speculation that Blake Lively would attend the wedding started when Taylor said on the Graham Norton Show that her philosophy for the wedding guest list was to invite “anyone I’ve ever talked to” just to avoid the stress of weeding people out. Naturally, the world wondered if that loose policy applied to Blake.

As countless celebrity guests arrived at the venue, Lively was notably absent. While many of the more high-profile guests at the wedding managed to make it inside MSG without being spotted, some made a point of being photographed attending. This included former friend Karlie Kloss, who stepped out confidently in a golden sheath dress and red lipstick, waving at the cameras. We can only assume that Lively, whose fallout with Swift has been publicly awkward, would have made a similar fuss of her attendance.

Instead, the It Ends With Us actress was spotted hundreds of kilometres away in Lake Placid, New York. TMZ confirmed the couple’s location, sharing photos of them cheering on their daughter, Betty, as she competed in a local horse show. While some held out hope that the 4.5-hour drive from Lake Placid to Madison Square Garden would allow for a late arrival, the unfolding guest list suggested otherwise. On the guest list were close friends like Lena Dunham, Jack Antonoff, Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez, and Gigi Hadid, but other celebrities who made surprise appearances included Hugh Grant, Mariska Hargitay, Ethan Hawke, Jason Sudeikis, and Adam Sandler, who officiated the wedding. Even Harry Styles, one of Taylor Swift’s most famous ex-boyfriends was invited although he couldn’t attend as he is currently on tour. Lively’s absence is pretty notable.

Why Did Taylor Swift And Blake Lively Fall Out?

The pair’s decade-long friendship reportedly hit a wall during the legal complexities surrounding Lively’s film It Ends With Us, after Swift found herself dragged into the drama as a potential witness.
