Loved ones of a Thai teenager allegedly murdered by a Perth<\/a> truck driver say they\u2019re unlikely to accept any compensation offered by the accused, demanding a life for a life.<\/p>\n

Thanchanok Donhomla, 17, was farewelled in her north-east Thailand<\/a> hometown on Sunday in a ritual to give her a peaceful afterlife.<\/p>\n

Police<\/a> allege Simon Peter Carman, 45, murdered her in his hotel room last month near the resort town of Pattaya, south of Bangkok.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was shocked, I couldn\u2019t accept it, but I didn\u2019t know what to do,\u201d her father said on Sunday.<\/p>\n

In Thailand, accused criminals can pay compensation to victims or their families to reduce jail time.<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s understood the teenager\u2019s father won\u2019t accept any payment to make up for her death<\/a>, if Carman is found guilty.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt depends on the legal process, but if I\u2019m being honest, I want him executed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Her great aunt wants life for a life, saying he \u201cshould receive what he deserved\u201d, if he is found guilty.<\/p>\n

Her bedroom was left bare, and most of her possessions cremated alongside her body.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Thai police alleged her body was in a suitcase in the bathroom of Carman\u2019s rented room just south of Pattaya for hours before he dumped it near train tracks about 10 minutes away early on June 27.<\/p>\n

He was arrested at Bangkok\u2019s Suvarnabhumi Airport at almost the same time the body was found, as police investigated a missing persons report by Thanchanok\u2019s friend.<\/p>\n

Carman is receiving consular assistance, including welfare checks and communicating with his family back in WA, as he awaits a court date in Thailand.<\/p>\n

He has denied murdering Thanchanok, and Thai police have said he claimed she tried to rob him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had my wallet open to get my money<\/a> out, next thing I know there\u2019s a knife in my face,\u201d Carman claimed in a video recorded by police.<\/p>\n
