According to longtime Miami Heat reporter Ira Winderman<\/a>, Sacramento Kings<\/a> veteran DeMar DeRozan<\/a> has been linked to the franchise “numerous times” amid growing uncertainty over his future in Sacramento.<\/p>\n

DeRozan could become available <\/p>\n

Earlier reports<\/a> indicated that the Kings are expected to waive and stretch DeRozan’s contract.<\/p>\n

The six-time NBA All-Star is currently on a $25.74 million expiring deal, but only $10 million of that amount is guaranteed.<\/p>\n

If Sacramento decides to stretch the remaining guaranteed money over the next three seasons, the move would give the Kings additional financial flexibility moving forward.<\/p>\n

DeRozan’s potential availability could quickly draw interest around the league. According to HoopsHype<\/a>, the Los Angeles Clippers have also been mentioned as a possible landing spot if he hits the market.<\/p>\n

For Miami, DeRozan would represent a proven scoring option and veteran presence next to Antetokounmpo, even if his fit would raise questions due to his limited three-point shooting and preference for mid-range creation.<\/p>\n

Last season, DeRozan appeared in 77 games and averaged 18.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 4.1 assists while shooting 49.7% from the field.<\/p>\n

Across his NBA career, DeRozan has played 1,264 games, averaging 21.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.1 assists on 47.1% shooting from the field.<\/p>\n

The veteran wing has spent time with the Toronto Raptors, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, and Sacramento Kings, building a reputation as one of the most reliable scorers of his generation.<\/p>\n
