Hachimura spent the last 3 1\/2 seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers and was a key part of their rotation in 2025-26, averaging 11.5 points and 3.3 rebounds per game while shooting 51.4% overall and 44.3% on 3-pointers.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Hachimira and his agent Darren Matsubara of THE\u2022TEAM came to an understanding with the Clippers early in free agency on finding a deal together. The sides waited for the Lakers to complete their offseason business to pursue a sign-and-trade, but the Lakers didn\u2019t cooperate on an\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/3v2hzswKm6\" rel=\"nofollow\">https:\/\/t.co\/3v2hzswKm6<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ShamsCharania\/status\/2074153520874274919?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">July 6, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Clippers have a changed frontline for 2026-27 as they also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/news\/raptors-clippers-kawhi-leonard-trade\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reportedly traded<\/a> star Kawhi Leonard to the Toronto Raptors for Gradey Dick and Brandon Ingram early in the offseason. Aside from that maneuver, forward\/center John Collins reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/news\/john-collins-free-agency-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reached a deal<\/a> with the Detroit Pistons and forward Bogdan Bogdanovi\u0107 is headed to the Houston Rockets on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/news\/bogdan-bogdanovic-rockets-free-agency\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported deal<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n<p>Across town, the Lakers have several changes to their roster as well. Walker Kessler has come aboard via a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/news\/walker-kessler-trade-los-angeles-lakers\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported sign-and-trade<\/a> with Utah, while center Deandre Ayton is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/news\/deandre-ayton-trade-wizards-lakers\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reportedly headed<\/a> to the Washington Wizards in a trade that brings back Jaden Hardy. Jaxson Hayes and Luke Kennard left on reported deals in free agency, while Sandro Mamukelashvili, Quentin Grimes and Collin Sexton are coming aboard <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/news\/nba-offseason-deals-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">via free agency<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest change of all for the Lakers is LeBron James\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/news\/lebron-james-free-agency-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported decision to not re-sign<\/a> with the team this summer.
