Here\u2019s what to expect.<\/p>\n<p>New betas arrive for 26.6 line of software updates<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today Apple released new betas for both of its current software tracks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s been two weeks since the last wave of iOS 27 betas. And only one since iOS 26.3 beta 3 dropped.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And today, alongside the anticipated iOS 27 beta 3, Apple also released another round of betas for iOS 26.6 and its companion updates.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beta 4 is available for iPadOS 26.6, tvOS 26.6, HomePod 26.6, and more.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019re expecting a public launch of these updates <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/07\/01\/ios-26-6-release-date-heres-when-the-new-iphone-update-is-coming\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"1059181\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">later this month<\/a>. Typically Apple ships its x.6 updates by late July, and the same will likely happen this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So far in the beta cycle, the 26.6 round of updates appears entirely focused on bug fixes and performance improvements. We haven\u2019t discovered any new features, only <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/05\/26\/ios-26-6-adds-new-alert-when-you-try-blocking-too-many-contacts\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"1053454\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">under-the-hood updates<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps today\u2019s latest betas will change that\u2014but it\u2019s unlikely.
