Less than 48 hours after officiating the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce<\/a>, Adam Sandler<\/a> made a surprising phone call to police. <\/p>\n

It seems that after the event, Adam Sandler jetted off to Nantucket, a popular summer island destination off the coast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. It was there that he promptly called the police to ask one simple question. <\/p>\n

Adam Sandler stopped by a Nantucket basketball court to play a game, but first he had to make a call to the local police\u00a0Instagram\/@nantucketcurrent,\/@andrewkesler17<\/p>\n

According to an Instagram post<\/a> made by the Nantucket Current, Sandler called the island\u2019s non-emergency police line to ask where he could play a game of basketball. <\/p>\n

The dispatcher who answered the call, Chris Reynolds, told the publication that Sandler said, \u201cHey, I\u2019m here on your island and I like to play basketball. Can you tell me where there\u2019s a basketball court I could play on?\u201d<\/p>\n

Reynolds directed him to Backus Lane court where a group \u201cplaying pick-ups\u201d were shocked to see the A-lister step out of the car. <\/p>\n

Nantucket local Andrew Kesler was on the court playing with friends, telling the Nantucket Current that Sandler \u201crolled in a car\u201d and simply asked if he could play. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s like \u2018guys let me stretch I\u2019m going to hop in\u2019,\u201d Kesler said. <\/p>\n

Of course, he wore what has become known around the world as the typical Adam Sandler outfit<\/a>: knee-length baggy shorts, a pair of \u2018dad\u2019 sneakers, and a baggy button-up shirt. <\/p>\n

We assume that a few days before, when the actor officiated what has since been dubbed the wedding of the century<\/a>, he dressed up a little more for the occasion. <\/p>\n

Sandler\u2019s role in the ceremony was potentially the most surprising piece of news to break out of the Swift-Kelce wedding<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The actor has been a long-time fan of Swift, publicly praising not only the singer\u2019s music but also how \u201cridiculously nice\u201d she is. <\/p>\n

Not only did Sandler give Kelce a guest role in the film, he also found room for his dad, Ed Kelce, to make an appearance. \u00a0Netflix<\/p>\n

He also appeared on Kelce\u2019s podcast, New Heights, in early 2025, and gave the NFL star a guest role<\/a> in his 2025 film, Happy Gilmore 2<\/a>. <\/p>\n

During an interview with CNN<\/a>, Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid praised Sandler for doing a \u201cphenomenal job\u201d during the wedding ceremony. <\/p>\n

\u201cHow he went about bringing a little bit of humour and a bit of sensitivity to what was going on,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere was a lot of people from different worlds, and he brought them all together.\u201d<\/p>\n
