{"id":786576,"date":"2026-07-08T08:42:09","date_gmt":"2026-07-08T08:42:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/786576\/"},"modified":"2026-07-08T08:42:09","modified_gmt":"2026-07-08T08:42:09","slug":"perth-young-gun-makes-us-move","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/786576\/","title":{"rendered":"Perth young gun makes US move"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Perth Wildcats young gun Ben Henshall is set to depart the club after signing with US college program Ole Miss Basketball.<\/p>\n<p>Henshall spent three seasons with the Wildcats, averaging 8.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists across 82 appearances.<\/p>\n<p>The 22-year-old also became a regular member of the Australian Boomers program during his time in the NBL.<\/p>\n<p>Wildcats head coach John Rillie paid tribute to Henshall&#8217;s development and wished him well for the next chapter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBen\u2019s development and growth as a person and player over the past three years is something the club can be proud of,\u201d Rillie said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m excited to watch him in this next phase of his life.
