He averaged 4.2 points and 1.7 rebounds. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boston.com\/sports\/boston-celtics\/2026\/05\/03\/nba-playoffs-celtics-76ers-game-7-takeaways\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">started Game 7 <\/a>of the Celtics\u2019 first-round series against Philadelphia after the team decided that Jayson Tatum was not available to play.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Harper Jr., 26, is on his second stint with the Celtics. He previously spent time with the Raptors and Pistons. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Harper Jr. averaged 25.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.2 blocks in 18 games with the Maine Celtics this past season, earning third-team All-NBA G-League honors. He was also selected for the Castrol Rising Stars challenge at NBA All-Star weekend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is the older brother of Spurs guard Dylan Harper. Their father, Ron Harper, played 15 years in the NBA and won five titles as a member of the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The trio teamed up in the Kia Shooting Stars challenge, where Team Harper finished third. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Harper Jr. played four years at Rutgers and went undrafted in 2022. He has since played in 40 NBA games.
