Photo: Leading Seaman Ernesto Sanchez Jr. Credit: RAN<\/p>\n<p>Geospatial specialists from the Royal Australian Navy and the Philippine Navy have joined forces for exercises.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Staged at the Naval Base Heracleo Alano in June, Exercise Lumbas brought together the Australian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spatialsource.com.au\/military-geospatial-team-put-through-its-paces\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Maritime Geospatial Warfare Unit<\/a> and other specialists, and Philippine Navy counterparts, for a series of academic and command post activities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exercise was held under a long-standing agreement that seeks to strengthen maritime cooperation, professional exchange and interoperability between the two navies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Philippine Navy Captain, Marissa Arlene A.
