\n\tThe prequel series was first announced<\/a> over a year ago during San Diego Comic-Con 2024. Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash will lead the show with a stacked cast of supes.<\/p>\n

\n\tDeadline broke the news of Elizabeth Posey\u2019s casting<\/a> in March 2025. Variety first reported the casting of Will Hochman (Blue Bloods).<\/p>\n

\n\tJorden Myrie (Sherwood), Nicol\u00f2 Pasetti (Bel Canto), Ricky Staffieri (The Bear and Brian J. Smith (Sense8) were added as series regulars<\/a> in August 2025.<\/p>\n

\n\tDeadline first exclusively reported<\/a> the additions of Mason Dye (Stranger Things) and Kiki Layne (The Old Guard 2) as series regulars in August 2025. Dye had previously been cast as Bombsight<\/a> in Season 5 of The Boys.<\/p>\n

\n\tPrime Video<\/a> revealed some core cast members and their characters in costume<\/a> in August 2025. Hochman will play Torpedo and Posey will play Private Angel.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhat is Vought Rising about?<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought,\u201d Kripke and showrunner Paul Grellong told fans at Comic-Con 2024. \u201cWe cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSoldier Boy and Stormfront have similar origin stories. Ackles\u2019 Soldier Boy is the first non-aging American Supe, created by Frederick Vought, during World War II. Stormfront was Vought\u2019s first successful test subject for Compound V, and they got married before moving to the United States.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Boys\u00a0series executive producer Paul Grellong serves as executive producer and showrunner on\u00a0Vought Rising, which comes from the main creative auspices behind\u00a0The Boys\u00a0franchise, led by the mothership\u2019s developer, executive producer and showrunner Eric Kripke.<\/p>\n

\n\tKripke executive produces\u00a0Vought Rising\u00a0alongside Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and Michaela Starr. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.<\/p>\n
