DETROIT —Tigers<\/a> All-Star catcher Dillon Dingler<\/a> left Wednesday’s 6-1 win<\/a> against the Athletics<\/a> with a injured right hand.<\/p>\n

Dingler was hit on the throwing hand by a foul tip off the bat of Jacob Wilson<\/a> in the second inning. He stayed in the game after a lengthy consultation with Detroit’s athletic training staff.<\/p>\n

In the bottom of the inning, Jake Rogers<\/a> pinch hit for Dingler. Rogers hit his second homer of the season, giving Detroit a 3-0 lead.<\/p>\n

After the game, Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said initial X-rays on Dingler came back negative but he will undergo additional testing Thursday.<\/p>\n

Dingler entered Wednesday hitting .262 with 19 home runs and 60 RBI.<\/p>\n

For the Athletics, All-Star first baseman Nick Kurtz<\/a> left in the second inning due to illness. He was replaced by Jeff McNeil<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kurtz, last season’s AL Rookie of the Year with 36 homers, entered the game hitting .271 with 20 homers and 66 RBI.<\/p>\n
