After a one-cycle demotion, the West course returns to No.1 in unequivocal fashion, eclipsing the second-best course by almost a full point (0.91). Renowned for its Conditioning, the layout\u2019s mix of strategy and visual intrigue continues to draw admiration from golfers and panellists alike.<\/p>\n<p>4 Victoria Golf Club \u2014 No.7 overall<\/p>\n<p>Location: Park Rd, Cheltenham, Victoria<\/p>\n<p>Bolstered by improved Conditioning scores, where it moved from sixth nationally to third, Victoria makes an eye-catching three-spot climb up the rankings. The Sandbelt gem has never ranked outside the sixth-to-12th bracket in the ranking\u2019s history.<\/p>\n<p>5 Royal Melbourne Golf Club (East) \u2014 No.9 overall<\/p>\n<p>A minor demotion in purely numerical terms, as Royal Melbourne East\u2019s average score from panellists almost mirrored the previous cycle\u2019s mark. Renowned for its Shot Options, the East course remains an essential complement to its more famous sibling.<\/p>\n<p>Location: Cheltenham Road, Black Rock, Victoria<\/p>\n<p>6 The National Golf Club (Moonah) \u2014 No.12 overall<\/p>\n<p>Location: Cape Schanck, Victoria<\/p>\n<p>Six straight rankings in either 11th or 12th position indicate a natural habitat for the demanding Moonah course. Renowned for its Shot Options, the layout scored a full point higher this cycle compared with 2024.<\/p>\n<p>7 Metropolitan Golf Club \u2014 No.13 overall<\/p>\n<p>Location: Golf Road, South Oakleigh, Victoria<\/p>\n<p>New-look 12th, 13th and 16th holes gave this Sandbelt favourite a fresh appearance this cycle, as its two-stage course-enhancement project reached completion in March 2025. Conditioning narrowly edged Shot Options as its superior criterion, by just 0.01.<\/p>\n<p>8 Cathedral Golf Club \u2014 No.14 overall<\/p>\n<p>Location: Rollasons Road, Thornton, Victoria<\/p>\n<p>The private and secluded rural layout keeps its high-tide mark on the list.
