Prince Harry’s one-year countdown event for the 2027 Invictus Games is set to take place in Birmingham on Friday, but it seems his brother, Prince William, is about to upstage him.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Prince of Wales will be taking part in the Royal Charity Polo Cup at Guards Polo Club in Windsor that day to fundraise money for charities close to his and his wife, Catherine Middleton’s, hearts.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The annual event, now fifteen years in the running, is set to raise over \u00a315 million (about $29 million), which will be split between 10 charitable organisations chosen by the couple.\u00a0<\/p>\n

They include The Royal College of Paramedics, Wales Air Ambulance, Forward Trust, Shout, Ty Hafan, Evelina London Children’s Hospital, Maternal Mental Health Alliance, We Are Farming Minds, The Passage and the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Harry will be in Birmingham to mark one year to go before the Invictus Games take place in the British city in 2027.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There has been much speculation as to whether Prince William and Prince Harry will reunite during the Duke’s five-day UK visit, with the brothers remaining estranged.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the Prince of Wales made a surprise appearance at Ysgol Gymraeg Llundain (The London Welsh School) in west London, where he met teachers and students while wishing Team Wales good luck ahead of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, which kick off later this month.<\/p>\n

The engagement came as the High Court handed down its decision in his brother’s unlawful information-gathering lawsuit against Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL),<\/a>\u00a0the publisher of the Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Prince Harry lost his privacy case against ANL<\/a>, with Justice Matthew Nicklin dismissing all 97 claims.<\/p>\n

Shortly after the verdict was handed down, the Duke of Sussex issued a joint statement with Baroness Doreen Lawrence.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe came to court seeking justice and accountability. But we received neither,\u201d it read.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a complete and obvious whitewash, but sadly not altogether unexpected.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The decision also ends the claims brought forward by Sir Elton John, Elizabeth Hurley, Sadie Frost, David Furnish and former Liberal Democrat MP Simon Hughes, as well as the Baroness.\u00a0<\/p>\n
