\u2014 EmpireCity Box Office (@EmpireCityBO) August 15, 2025<\/a> <\/p>\n Gunn Confirms Treatment Is Done<\/p>\n James Gunn recently revealed he\u2019s finished the treatment for what he\u2019s calling the \u201cSuperman Saga,\u201d a multi-film storyline that will serve as the backbone of the new DC Universe.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re scheduling it now. I\u2019m totally done with the treatment. My treatments are incredibly intense. They\u2019re not regular treatments. They\u2019re 60-page treatments with dialogue and everything. And so, now I\u2019m just turning that into a script. We\u2019re planning out when we\u2019re going to shoot that. It\u2019s going to be much sooner rather than later,\u201d Gunn filled in Collider.<\/p>\n Gunn added that the Superman follow-up is already in the planning stages and will not take long to move into production.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve already finished the treatment for the next story in what I\u2019ll call the \u2018Superman Saga\u2019. The treatment is done, which means a very, very worked out treatment. I\u2019m working on that and hopefully going into production on that not too far away from today,\u201d said Gunn.<\/p>\n The \u201cSuperman Saga\u201d<\/p>\n The sequel will mark the second chapter in what Gunn describes as the \u201cSuperman Saga.\u201d However, Gunn previously said it\u2019s not Superman 2<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cSuperman has a major role. It\u2019s not \u2018Superman 2,\u2019\u201d said Gunn adding, \u201cI\u2019m not sure how you define \u2018direct sequel.\u2019 I pretty much think of Peacemaker Season 2 as a direct sequel.\u201d<\/p>\n Box Office Update<\/p>\n
