{"id":789750,"date":"2026-07-09T18:43:09","date_gmt":"2026-07-09T18:43:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/789750\/"},"modified":"2026-07-09T18:43:09","modified_gmt":"2026-07-09T18:43:09","slug":"leah-eddie-joins-leicester-city-bwsl2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/789750\/","title":{"rendered":"Leah Eddie joins Leicester City | BWSL2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Leicester City are pleased to confirm the arrival of Leah Eddie to LCFC Women with the defender signing a three-year contract at King Power Stadium, subject to clearances.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>The 25-year-old makes the move to Leicestershire having spent eight seasons in the Scottish Women&#8217;s Premier League with Hibernian and most recently Rangers.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Speaking to Foxes Hub, Leah said:\u00a0&#8220;I\u2019m really excited to get started. I had a lot of conversations with the Club; I\u2019ve seen the facilities and the way that they are looking to push next season and that\u2019s something I\u2019d love to be a part of.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>\u201cI\u2019ve played in the Scottish league for a long time, and I really enjoyed my time there but I\u2019m looking for something new and there\u2019s no better place to come and try that.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>\u201cIt\u2019s a really nice stadium. It\u2019s obviously a huge club to be a part of and hopefully when we\u2019re playing here, we\u2019ll get some good results.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>\u201cWhen I moved to Rangers, I won the first two cups of my career so I will be looking to use that experience to try and win more cups and get promoted.\u201d<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Born in Falkirk, Scotland, the centre back started her career within the Central Ladies Academy before breaking into senior women&#8217;s football with Rangers in 2018.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>A positive six-year spell with Hibs followed before a return to Rangers in 2024.
