FAIRFAX, Va. \u2013 The George Mason University men’s basketball team will host former conference rival Old Dominion on Saturday, December 12 inside EagleBank Arena.

\nIt’s the second game in a three-year series. The Patriots won last season’s matchup, 73-61, in Fairfax. ODU will host the final matchup during the 2027-28 campaign in Norfolk.

\nThe Monarchs are the Patriots’ sixth-most common opponent all time. George Mason and Old Dominion have matched up for 61 all-time meetings, including six games since the Patriots departed the CAA In 2013. ODU holds a 38-23 lead, but since 1998, George Mason has enjoyed a 22-16 advantage in the series. \u00a0

\nLast season’s matchup was the first between the programs since 2022-23.

\nThe ODU game marks the Patriots’ third announced non-conference contest of 2025-26. George Mason also will host 2026 AAC Champion South Florida in Fairfax on Nov. 21 and travel to 2026 Big South Champion High Point on Dec. 2.
