The body of a young man has been found more than a year after he went missing in South Australia.<\/a><\/p>\n

The discovery of the remains of 23-year-old Adelaide man Michael Curnow marks a tragic end to his mysterious disappearance in April 2025.<\/p>\n

Police on Tuesday received a tip-off reporting a mountain bike and helmet dumped in bushland at one of South Australia\u2019s largest forest plantations.<\/p>\n

Detectives from the Missing Person Investigation Section and Major Crime searched the area at Mount Crawford Forest near Chain of Ponds, about 30km from Adelaide.<\/p>\n

Officers found the human remains which were later confirmed to belong to Curnow.<\/p>\n

Curnow was last seen at Hillcrest about 9am on April 24, 2025.<\/p>\n

His black Hyundai station wagon was found in the early hours of Anzac Day on South Para Rd at Chain of Ponds, prompting extensive searches across forest tracks and rural roads. <\/p>\n

However, nothing was ever found.<\/p>\n

Dashcam vision captured a man matching Curnow\u2019s description walking along Forreston Rd near Kersbrook about 10.30am the same morning, but no further sightings were confirmed.<\/p>\n

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a report will be prepared for the coroner.<\/p>\n
