PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — The City of Philadelphia has released a list of road closures and transportation information as the 2026 MLB All-Star <\/a>week begins.<\/p>\n

MLB All-Star week brings six days of baseball events, fan experiences and celebrations across the city.<\/p>\n

The events get underway with the HBCU Swingman Classic on July 10, and culminate with the 96th Midsummer Classic at Citizens Bank Park in South Philadelphia on July 14.<\/p>\n

Road Closures:<\/p>\n

Friday, July 10<\/p>\n

Budweiser Clydesdales Hitch Parade
6th and Market Street area<\/p>\n

6th Street between Market Street and Chestnut Street will be closed from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

Procession route with rolling closures:
– Proceed south on 6thStreet to Walnut Street
– Proceed west on Walnut Street to 7thStreet
– Proceed north on 7thStreet to Market Street
– Proceed east on Market Street to 6thStreet
Closure Hours: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (rolling closures)<\/p>\n

Parking restrictions will also be enforced along 6th Street between Market Street and Walnut Street<\/p>\n

The above-listed streets will be posted as “Temporary No Parking” zones.<\/p>\n

Vehicles parked in these locations during posted hours will be relocated. If you believe your car has been relocated, call the police district of the area where your car was parked.<\/p>\n

The above-listed streets will be posted as “Temporary No Parking” zones. Motorists must adhere to “Temporary No Parking” signs.<\/p>\n

If you believe your car has been relocated, call the police district of the area where your car was parked.<\/p>\n

The Autopark at Independence Mall will be closed beginning at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, July 13. The 5th Street exit will remain open for vehicles to exit and relocate. All vehicles must be relocated by 5 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia Independence Visitor Center<\/p>\n

The Philadelphia Independence Visitor will be closed to the public beginning at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14. It will be reopened at the conclusion of the event.<\/p>\n

SEPTA<\/p>\n

SEPTA offers two subway lines, regional rail service to and from the surrounding suburbs, and bus service throughout the city.<\/p>\n

Getting to Citizens Bank Park<\/p>\n

Citizens Bank Park is served by NRG Station, the final stop on the B. Simply ride the B southbound to the final stop, and Citizens Bank Park is steps away.<\/p>\n

If you’re taking Regional Rail into Philadelphia, exit at either Suburban Station or Jefferson Station, both of these are just a short walk away from 15th Street\/City Hall Station, where you’ll be able to board the B.<\/p>\n

Added B Service to\/from MLB All-Star Week Games: In addition to regularly schedule B trains to NRG Station, six additional trains (B2 Sports Express to NRG) will be offered before and after the Home Run Derby and All-Star Game to support added capacity.<\/p>\n

Free Rides Home on the B<\/p>\n

MLB All-Star Home Run Derby, July 13: Free rides sponsored by DraftKings begin after the second round and end at 11:59 pm. Free rides from NRG Station on the B only.MLB All-Star Game, July 14: Free rides sponsored by Pennsylvania Lottery begin after the sixth inning and end at 11:59 pm. Getting to the Pennsylvania Convention Center<\/p>\n

The Convention Center is in Center City, only a couple of blocks away from City Hall. The15th St\/City Hall Station is served by the L, B, and T, ,making it a very convenient option.<\/p>\n

The area is also served by a number of SEPTA bus routes.<\/p>\n

If you’re taking Regional Rail into Philadelphia, you’ll want to exit at Jefferson Station. From there, it’s just about a 10-minute walk to the Convention Center.<\/p>\n

Getting to Independence Mall<\/p>\n

Independence Mall is part of the Independence National Historical Park and is located in Old City.<\/p>\n

The area is served by its own station on the L, 5th St\/Independence Hall, which brings you right to the Park and steps away from the Mall.<\/p>\n

If you’re taking Regional Rail into Philadelphia, you’ll want to exit at Jefferson Station. From there, it’s just about a15-minute walk to Independence Mall.<\/p>\n

Hospitality Hubs<\/p>\n

Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the Philadelphia Visitor Center, will continue to operate their pop-up visitor centers.<\/p>\n

Neighborhood parking management will be conducted the same way as a Phillies game or other event at the stadiums.<\/p>\n

Stadium Bag Policy<\/p>\n

In an effort to expedite entry, guests are prohibited from bringing non-clear bags, including backpacks and draw-string bags, into Citizens Bank Park, and all other All-Star venues.<\/p>\n

Only clutch purses and\/or fanny packs (no larger than 5 x 7), clear bags (no larger than 12 x 6 x 12), medical bags, and diaper bags will be permitted into Citizens Bank Park, and all other All-Star venues.<\/p>\n

Guests may discard or return the prohibited items to their vehicle as well as store them in any of our locker locations: First Base Gate, Third Base Gate, or Left Field Gate, or the Mobile Locker Truck at South 11th St. and Pattison Avenue.<\/p>\n

Fans are encouraged to review all security and ballpark policesto ensure they are following ballpark policy.<\/p>\n

MLB All-Star Week events and crowd locations are No Drone Zones.<\/p>\n

Flying drones near stadiums or over gatherings of people is illegal and dangerous.<\/p>\n
