Wide receivers are the real housewives of the NFL, says Tom Brady.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The NFL legend reacted to the A.J. Brown trade saga<\/a> over the past season on Travis and Jason Kelce\u2019s \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast this week<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cA.J. wanted to be involved,\u201d Brady said. \u201cI covered a lot of those Eagles games. That passing offense isn\u2019t \u2014 that\u2019s not what that team\u2019s known for. So now he\u2019s actually going to a team where they are more known for their passing offense. So, you know, there will be maybe a little more satisfaction from him from that standpoint.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown was traded to the Patriots in June<\/a> after months of speculation and a falling out with his quarterback, Jalen Hurts, for a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick.<\/p>\n

Joining the Patriots means a reunion with his former head coach, Mike Vrabel, for whom the wideout played his first three seasons in Tennessee.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Brown, a three-time Pro Bowler, is coming off a season with 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns on 78 catches, but with a career-low 12.9 yards per catch.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Brady continued by saying he gets d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu when watching receivers claim to be unhappy with their situation, because he saw it as far back as 2000, when he entered the NFL.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He said it\u2019s the only position on offense that isn\u2019t naturally engaged with every play.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s the receivers who stand, you know, 25 yards from the ball, just talking smack with the [defensive backs],\u201d Brady said. \u201cTrying to figure out, \u2018Alright, I ran my ass off and didn\u2019t get the ball, and how do I stay locked in and committed to the team when I don\u2019t touch the ball?’\u201d<\/p>\n

Brady added: \u201cI swear to God, it\u2019s just d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu. I\u2019ve been seeing the same s\u2013t since 2000 when I came into the league\u2026 It\u2019s like the \u2018Real Housewives of the NFL.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Tom Brady was asked about A.J. Brown and why there’s always drama at the WR position:<\/p>\n

“I swear to God, it’s just d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu. I’ve been seeing the same sh*t since 2000 when I came into the league\u2026 It’s like the Real Housewives of the NFL.”<\/p>\n

Brady said during his time in the league, he had to put a lot of \u201cemotional energy\u201d into keeping wide receivers happy and locked in.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He said an unsatisfied receiver takes away a lot from his game.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne game, you\u2019re gonna get 11 and one game, you\u2019re gonna get three,\u201d the seven-time Super Bowl champ said. \u201cI can\u2019t have you, like, the happiest guy in the world when you catch 11, or the most miserable guy on the team when you catch three.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
