Brooke Warne, the daughter of the late cricket legend Shane, has announced she is engaged to her longtime partner Alex Heath. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt was always us,\u201d Brooke wrote, sharing heartwarming photos of the proposal from the couple\u2019s holiday in the US.<\/p>\n
Heath got down on one knee to propose and a picture perfect rainbow lit up the sky in the background as they celebrated the special moment. <\/p>\n
To commemorate the proposal Brooke used the song \u201cPerfect\u201d by Ed Sheeran, who was one of her late father\u2019s friends. <\/p>\n
Brooke was inundated by messages of support including from her mum Simone Callaghan, who said the rainbow was a sign dad Shane was looking down on them.<\/p>\n
\u201cTruly a beautiful match made in Heaven, beyond Happy for you both, endless LOVE, and the rainbow Dad\u2019s sign for you Brookie & Alex, he will be over the moon celebrating, enjoy this special moment, can\u2019t wait to squish you,\u201d she posted in a touching comment.<\/p>\n
Callaghan also posted: \u201cRoses are Red Violets are Blue Alex We Love you, Congratulations. So exciting Brookie & Alex. Engaged.\u201d<\/p>\n
Brooke\u2019s brother Jackson Warne posted: \u201cI have a brother! Congrats guys.\u201d<\/p>\n
Her sister Summer said: \u201cCould not have asked for a better brother in law, their love is something I can only hope to have a half of one day.\u201d<\/p>\n
Brooke, 29, has been with Heath for the past seven years. <\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s my best friend and I\u2019m so grateful for everything he does for me,\u201d she has said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m very lucky to have him in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n
Warne\u2019s children Brooke, Jackson and Summer have shown immense strength since the cricket icon\u2019s shock death in Thailand due to a heart attack in 2022. <\/p>\n
