It\u2019s been really cool to see.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was fun. Obviously quite different to what I\u2019m used to driving with a roof,\u201d he said of the Supercar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was fun. It\u2019s such a great noise. It\u2019s so loud. A lot of power. Sequential gearbox, so it\u2019s quite cool to be able to pull the gears.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was super different. Even just the visibility was different as well. Very different, a lot of fun to experience something.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lindblad said the show runs required a different approach.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m going to be honest, I\u2019ve not always loved this side of it because it\u2019s a different skill,\u201d Lindblad explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we drive the car, we\u2019re all just used to putting the car on the limit and that\u2019s what we\u2019re used to. Whereas here, it\u2019s much more about making it look nice and having a show and that sort of thing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not very talented at doing doughnuts, it\u2019s not really what I\u2019ve been practising for the last 10 years, but there are a lot of people who are telling you you have to do it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSometimes I get more nervous doing that, because you can only crash and do it wrong. You can never do it right. To be honest, so far this week it has been quite chill.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/speedcafe.com\/supercars-news-red-bull-f1-junior-arvid-landblad-highlands-park-nz-grand-prix\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">It\u2019s the second time Lindblad has driven a \u201cV8 Supercar\u201d.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Last year, during his stint in the Formula Regional Oceania Championship, Lindblad drove the ex-Shane van Gisbergen Chevrolet Camaro at Highlands Motorsport Park.<\/p>\n<p>That car was purchased from Triple Eight Race Engineering by Tony Quinn and shipped to New Zealand in late 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Arvid Lindblad performs a series of donuts during the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
