Prince Harry is reportedly “desperate to return to his old life” after wrapping up his five-day homecoming trip to the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

The Duke of Sussex was busy during the week, taking part in a number of one-year countdown engagements in London and Birmingham for the 2027 Invictus Games.<\/a><\/p>\n

The 41-year-old also reunited with his father, King Charles, 77, and stepmother Queen Camilla, 78, at Highgrove House on Friday,<\/a> along with his wife Meghan Markle, 44, and children Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, marking the first time the family had spent time with the monarch and his wife in four years.<\/p>\n

Now, in the wake of the jam-packed trip, a royal expert has said that the Duke will be feeling “angsty”.<\/p>\n

Jane Barr, who pens From Berkshire to Buckingham on Substack, says Harry will be yearning for home following the nostalgic UK visit.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“This must have been very emotional for Harry, who is obviously desperate to return to his old life,” Barr wrote on her Substack.<\/p>\n

The author then highlighted the significance of Harry reuniting with his father at his Gloucestershire home, as it was where the royal grew up.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“He was raised at Highgrove, after all,” she said, adding: “I bet this whole trip makes him more angsty than ever.”<\/p>\n

Charles and Camilla hosted the Sussexes at the King’s home in the English countryside on Friday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Buckingham Palace dubbed the reunion a \u201cprivate family occasion\u201d and it was reported that there would be no publicly released images of the meeting.<\/p>\n

The last time Charles saw his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, was in 2022 at the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.<\/p>\n

An insider told The Mirror last week that Harry had been \u201cfrantically\u201d trying to organise security<\/a> for his wife and children to get the reunion over the line, and Charles was just as keen to see the family.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe King would not pass up the opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren, and if there is a way of making it possible, he will do it,\u201d the source added.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Harry’s UK return has been engulfed in a number of setbacks, with his request for publicly-funded security being denied by the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC)<\/a> in the lead up to the visit.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Buckingham Palace rescinded the family\u2019s invitation to stay at the “last moment”,<\/a> claiming that the Sussexes took too long to RSVP and resulting in time constraints for staff to prepare the accommodation accordingly.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The week also saw Harry lose his $96 million unlawful information-gathering lawsuit against Daily Mail’s publisher, Associated Newspapers Ltd, on Tuesday<\/a>.<\/p>\n
