NASHVILLE, Tenn. —\u00a0The Belmont men’s golf team announces the addition of transfer Hugh Donegan for the 2026-27 season.<\/p>\n
Donegan comes to Belmont after spending two seasons at West Virginia University.\u00a0 As a Mountaineer, he redshirted his freshman year and then competed in three events as a sophomore.\u00a0 He posted a scoring average of 76.75 and his best finish was a tie for 19th place at The Stono Invitational.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Hugh is a great addition to our team,” said\u00a0Daniel DeLuca<\/a>, Belmont’s Head Coach.\u00a0 “With his talent and playing experience, I believe he will make an immediate impact on this team and help this program to move forward.”<\/p>\n During the 2025-26 season, the Bruins played in 12 events and posted four top-five finishes.\u00a0 Their best finish was a third place showing at the Yestingsmeier Invitational last fall.\u00a0<\/p>\n Follow Belmont Men’s Golf on social media –\u00a0@BelmontMGolf on X and\u00a0@belmontmgolf on Instagram – for complete coverage of the Bruins.
