Nigeria will host a top-tier boxing<\/a> event for the first time on 1 October, as Amir Khan<\/a> stages a fight card in Lagos.<\/p>\n

The event, which follows a June card in Ghana promoted by Khan, will be headlined by a cruiserweight bout between Brandon Glanton and Rocky Fielding<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, British light-heavyweight Dan Azeez<\/a> \u2013\u00a0of Nigerian descent \u2013 will feature.<\/p>\n

The former British Title holder said: \u201cFighting in Nigeria on Independence Day is a dream come true. This is for my heritage, my people, and my pride. I\u2019m ready to put on a show and honour Nigeria with every punch I throw.\u201d<\/p>\n

Former world lightweight champion Richard Commey will also fight, taking on Ray Seitzhanov.<\/p>\n

Khan, himself a former super-lightweight world champion, said: \u201cI\u2019m thrilled to bring world-class boxing and the world\u2019s eyes onto Nigeria for the first time.<\/p>\n

The event, titled Chaos In The Ring, will be promoted by Khan\u2019s AK Promotions as well as Balmoral Group Promotions.
