Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt\u2019s kids Zahara and Maddox took out newspaper ads as the next step in officially dropping their father\u2019s last name.<\/p>\n
Court documents obtained by Page Six on Monday show that Zahara, 21, published her petition to drop the actor\u2019s surname in the Los Angeles Daily Journal once a week for four consecutive weeks.<\/p>\n
The filing states that her notice ran in the paper on June 16, June 23, June 30 and July 7.<\/p>\n

In court docs obtained by Page Six, Zahara published her petition to drop the actor\u2019s surname in the Los Angeles Daily Journal four times through June and July. Superior Court of California<\/p>\n
The newspaper ad also calls for anyone opposing the change to submit a written opposition before the final hearing.<\/p>\n
Zahara now has a scheduled Sept. 28 court hearing for a judge to rule on the motion. If no one objects, the judge can approve the request.<\/p>\n
As for Maddox, court docs obtained by Page Six show that the 24-year-old\u2019s petition ran in the same publication as his sister\u2019s \u2014 on June 10, June 17, June 24 and July 1.<\/p>\n
