Earlier this month, the Boston Celtics<\/a> traded Jaylen Brown<\/a> to the Philadelphia 76ers<\/a>.<\/p>\n The 2024 NBA<\/a> Finals MVP had been in Boston for his entire 10-year career.<\/p>\n Last season, Brown had averages of 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 47.7% from the field in 71 games.<\/p>\n ESPN\u2019s Shams Charania wrote (on July 1):<\/a> \u201cThe Boston Celtics have agreed to trade Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers for Paul George<\/a>, two first-round picks and two second-round picks, sources tell ESPN.\u201d<\/p>\n BLOCKBUSTER: The Boston Celtics have agreed to trade Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers for Paul George, two first-round picks and two second-round picks, sources tell ESPN. <\/p>\n Walsh Makes Statement About Brown Trade GettyJaylen Brown #7 of the Boston Celtics dribbles against the Detroit Pistons<\/a> during the second quarter at TD Garden on March 18, 2024 in Boston, Massachusetts.<\/p>\n Recently, Jordan Walsh<\/a> met with the media at NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n He was asked about the trade (via Celtics on CLNS<\/a>).<\/p>\n Walsh: \u201cI mean it\u2019s tough. It\u2019s really tough, especially when it\u2019s a guy like that, especially when it\u2019s a guy you\u2019re really close to. It\u2019s always hard to have him go. But there is a side of basketball where it\u2019s always something that\u2019s bigger than basketball and it\u2019s just the business of it.
