A\ufeffmerican DJ<\/a> Gryffin thought he was experiencing a dream collaboration on-stage in Las Vegas this week, but he soon found out the shocking truth.<\/p>\n

During his latest set<\/a>, he was told singer Justin Bieber<\/a> was in \ufeffattendance and that he wanted to perform alongside the DJ in front of a crowd of thousands.<\/p>\n

Gryffin briefly spoke to the “star” \u2013 who looked the part in a hoodie, tattoos all over and a beard with dark sunglasses \u2013 but admitted the “dark venue and loud music didn’t help.”<\/p>\n

Eventually “Bustin Jieber”, as Gryffin affectionately dubbed him, made his way onto the stage \u2013 with the DJ excitedly yelling, “Bieber in the house y’all!”<\/p>\n

“His ‘team’ said he wanted to perform Sorry,” said the DJ above footage of himself setting up for the song. “Little did I know… I was about to be sorry,” he wrote.<\/p>\n

“The place went wild, and after four minutes and 27 seconds of w\ufeffhat sounded like Justin Bieber, I found out the worst news imaginable.”<\/p>\n

\"DJHe thought he was speaking to the singer’s team. (Instagram\/@gryffin)<\/p>\n

As he came off the stage saying that the experience of performing with the superstar was “actually insane”, he was soon hit with reality.<\/p>\n

His jaw dropped as his team told him that “Bieber” was a “complete fake” and just a man who really looked like the A-lister.<\/p>\n

When music stars have surprised fans with performances<\/p>\n

\ufeffCelebrities weighed in on the mix up, with the likes of Paris Hilton, record producer Zedd and Norwegian DJ and record producer Kygo reacting with laughing emojis.<\/p>\n

Aussie DJ Alison Wonderland commented, “Oh my GOD this is actually amazing hahahaha\ufeff”.<\/p>\n

Fellow DJ Diesel commiserated, “This happens to me all the time\ufeff”.<\/p>\n

Deorro, another DJ friend added: “No way \ud83d\ude2d they set u up bro noooo sorry that happened\ufeff.”<\/p>\n

Many praised him for his reaction, with artist MVSE commenting, “Handled with class and grace\ufeff.”<\/p>\n

“What a whirlwind of emotions,” DJ Ynot wrote.<\/p>\n

“No way!! You’re a legend for posting this,” a fan added.<\/p>\n

A representative for Wynn and XS Nightclub, where the event took place, later told TMZ that the imposter was banned from attending the venue in future.<\/p>\n

“After an elaborate and multi-step ruse by him and his advance team, a Justin Bieber impersonator was granted access to the XS stage. As soon as the error was recognised, he was removed from the resort and denied future entry,” they said.<\/p>\n
