Tasmania JackJumpers CEO Trent Jacobs has opened the door to extending Scott Roth\u2019s contract beyond NBL27, praising the championship-winning coach\u2019s impact on the club.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe think he\u2019s been outstanding for our organisation. He\u2019s really helped build the fabric of the organisation, Defend the Island and what that means,\u201d Jacobs told SEN Tassie.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis future is something that we\u2019ll certainly look at and if Scott\u2019s open to that \u2026 we\u2019ll have those conversations when they come up.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Roth has spent time away during the off-season, Jacobs said the club has been mindful of giving its championship-winning coach space following another demanding campaign.<\/p>\n

Jacobs credited the American with establishing the culture that has underpinned the JackJumpers\u2019 success since entering the league.<\/p>\n

The CEO also highlighted his growing reputation across the league, saying the club is increasingly attracting talent because of the opportunity to develop under Roth\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the things that\u2019s really pleasing for me is that players are genuinely coming to our club, because they feel they can get better under the stewardship of Scott,\u201d Jacobs said.<\/p>\n

Looking ahead to the Hungry Jack\u2019s NBL27 Season, Jacobs said there is genuine excitement around the roster the JackJumpers have assembled.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re really excited about the roster that Darren (Smith) and Scott have put together \u2026 there\u2019s a really good mix of continuity and a little bit of new,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re pretty excited about how competitive we can be.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jacobs also revealed the club recently completed a review of the past season, with injuries a key area of focus after a challenging stretch.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a bit of a review, as you\u2019re aware we\u2019ve had a fair few injuries in the last couple of years, so we\u2019re looking closely at that.\u201d<\/p>\n
