Ludvig \u00c5berg\u2019s U.K. fortnight didn\u2019t get off to the best of starts.<\/p>\n
Prior to last week\u2019s Genesis Scottish Open, \u00c5berg had to replace his driver shaft and launch monitor after both were damaged on his travel overseas.<\/p>\n
\u00c5berg flew from Boston to his native Sweden following the Travelers Championship, though his bags, including his golf bags, didn\u2019t join him for three days. When they finally arrived, \u00c5berg discovered the damage.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I pulled it out my driver was snapped in half,\u201d \u00c5berg said during an on-course interview on Tuesday at Royal Birkdale. \u201cMy Foresight, the [GC] Quad that I use, was cracked in half.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u00c5berg missed the cut last Friday at Renaissance Club and enters this week\u2019s Open Championship without a top-10 finish since his T-4 at the PGA Championship.
