\u2018LOT OF TALK\u2019: HISTORIC PIES CAPTAINCY CHANGE ON CARDS?<\/p>\n
As questions persist over Darcy Moore\u2019s long-term health, there\u2019s been \u201ca lot of talk\u201d around an historic captaincy change at Collingwood. <\/p>\n
The Magpies have never officially gone down the co-captaincy route, but with Moore unavailable through the rest of the season amid recurring soft-tissue injuries, conversations are being had. <\/p>\n
It\u2019s not to say the 30-year-old premiership skipper has relinquished anything as yet, but according to Midweek Tackle\u2019s Glenn McFarlane, a shake-up could be on the cards. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe Pies have never officially had co-captains \u2026 but there\u2019s a lot of talk about a co-captaincy next year with Nick Daicos and Brayden Maynard,\u201d McFarlane revealed on Fox Footy. <\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s not saying that Darcy Moore won\u2019t be there.\u201d<\/p>\n
Putting in his own two cents, he added: \u201cTwo words for me – Nick Daicos. He should be captain next year; there\u2019s absolutely no doubt in my mind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Colleague Jon Ralph told Midweek Tackle: \u201cIt\u2019s a decision for Darcy Moore; they\u2019ll work through that. <\/p>\n
\u201cBut for me, I think those two blokes – one of them a bit more clean-cut, one a bit more rough around the edges – I think they would be absolutely perfect co-captains.\u201d<\/p>\n
Such a move could lighten the burden on the hamstrung Moore, who during his spell out consulted with specialists in San Francisco in a bid to overcome the dreaded injuries that have hampered him of late. <\/p>\n
Moore played just four games this season following four years of 20-plus senior appearances. <\/p>\n
Regarding enhancing his leadership capabilities, Daicos told AFL 360 on Tuesday night: \u201cMy leadership is something I\u2019m trying to take to another level. <\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve seen Brayden Maynard alongside me at the moment, who\u2019s doing an unbelievable job, and he\u2019s really inspiring for me.\u201d<\/p>\n
