A free update for Mario Tennis Fever<\/a> has been released, adding a new court, racquet and Mix-It-Up mode based on the Super Mario Galaxy games, as well as adding online GameShare via GameChat.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Update 1.1.0 for Mario Tennis Fever is out now, and it\u2019s a pretty good batch of new content. The new Galaxy Court is themed around Mario Galaxy visually, but also gives balls a higher bounce to mimic lower gravity of its smaller celestial bodies. Then there\u2019s the new Black Hole Racket, which can create black holes with a Fever Shot that can suck opponents right in.<\/p>\n

The Galaxy Court Match is added as a new mode, which introduces one of three Prankster Comets, which can summon shadowy doubles, speed everyone up, or a sudden death mode where body hits will immediately knock a character out of the game.<\/p>\n

Perhaps the best addition, though, is GameShare now being able to work online via GameChat. While this requires everyone to have a Switch Online membership for GameChat, it does mean that four people can play online using one copy of the game (I would just be mildly wary about latency in this scenario).<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the full Mario Tennis Fever v1.1.0 patch notes:<\/p>\n

Added \u201cGameShare\u201d and \u201dPlay via GameChat\u201d<\/p>\n

Added functionality to play the game with friends on GameChat who don\u2019t have the game.
\nIn \u201cPlay via GameChat,\u201d you can play tennis matches with swing controls in addition to tennis matches with button controls and games in Mix It Up.Note: A Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to use GameChat.<\/p>\n

Added a New Fever Racket, the \u201cBlack Hole Racket\u201d<\/p>\n

The new \u201cBlack Hole Racket\u201d Fever Racket has been added which causes a black hole when the Fever Shot hits the ground.
\nThe black hole it causes has the effect of pulling players who are nearby into the black hole when it gets large.
\nYour HP Gauge will take damage if you get close to the black hole. If your HP reaches 0 due to the black hole and you are knocked out, you will be sucked into the black hole.
\nBlack holes do not have the effect of drawing in incoming balls.<\/p>\n

Added a New Court, the \u201cGalaxy Court\u201d<\/p>\n

A new court has been added based on Super Mario Galaxy.
\nThe court is made on a distant planet, and although the ball speed isn\u2019t particularly fast, balls have a high bounce.
\nThe court has a different shape depending on whether you are playing Free Play or Ranked Match matches, or in Special Match.<\/p>\n

Added a New Special Match, \u201cGalaxy Court Match\u201d<\/p>\n

Special \u201cGalaxy Court Match\u201d match rules have been added where you play on a spherical court made on a distant planet.
\nAs the match progresses, one of three types of \u201cPrankster Comets\u201d will appear and will greatly change the strategy of the match.<\/p>\n

The conditions for the racket\u2019s effect disappearing were either 15 seconds passing, or 10 rallies. This has now changed so there is no rally condition, and it only disappears when 15 seconds pass.<\/p>\n

Amp Racket<\/p>\n

The condition for the racket\u2019s effect disappearing was 20 rallies. This has now changed to it disappearing when 12 seconds pass.<\/p>\n

Metal Racket<\/p>\n

While its effect is active, you now move slower. Your movement speed will now be the same as when your HP is low. If your HP is already low while the effect is active, your movement speed will not decrease.
\nWhile its effect is active, the racket now gets rid of Mini Mushrooms from the Mini Mushroom Racket.<\/p>\n

? Block Racket<\/p>\n

Black Hole Shots have been added as a possible effect of its Fever Shots.<\/p>\n

Changes to Shot Behavior<\/p>\n

Adjusted the star point detection to make it easier to execute Star Shots.<\/p>\n

Other Changes<\/p>\n

In addition to the new \u201cGalaxy Court\u201d, you can now select \u201cAcademy Court (Grass),\u201d \u201cAcademy Court (Hard),\u201d and \u201cAcademy Court (Clay)\u201d in court selection.
\nYou can now select \u201cRandom\u201d on the racket selection screen. If you select \u201cContinue\u201d when the match ends, you can compete with a different racket each match.
\nAdded an option to disable pressing the A Button and B Button simultaneously to hit a flat shot.
\nAdjusted how modes are randomly selected for \u201cSearch All Modes\u201d in for Ranked Match matches.
\nAdded \u201cGalaxy Court\u201d as a Ranked Match court and adjusted the order courts appear in.
\nMade it so when you\u2019re playing the \u201cRacket Factory Match\u201d special game, if you don\u2019t have a FV Gauge bar filled when picking up a Fever Racket, your FV Gauge will fill up to 1 bar.
\nSeveral other adjustments and fixes have been made to improve the gameplay experience.<\/p>\n
